Designing
Planning begins with daylight, its integration and how we plan for transitions to evening across the seasons, we discuss shading, blinds (we advise on textures, colours and translucence). We design Secret Lighting – hidden opportunities in the walls, floors, ceilings and furniture to begin the layers of soft light, moving space by space then creating features and “something for the soul” to enliven feelings and vistas.
Enhancing
Finally, we will advise upon controls (or not) and how to use technology to make your life enhanced, save energy and integrate intuitively. (if it is not easy and for benefit…we won’t recommend it).

Secret Lighting fees
for a Compleat Designer
£4,999 + vat
(based upon up to 450sqm subject to our acceptance)
Start with a creative session together, not simply presenting our ideas but you at the centre of a design day of sketching, plug and play lighting, true emersion, powerful and rewarding.
We provide clear labelled drawings to show each space/room. After feedback we do one set of amendments and the status moves to “approved”. Future changes are chargeable.
Included is a schedule to show each circuit, luminaire, component, loading and control. We also use this for an accurate project costing.
It is useful to plan when you request the schedule if it requires updates to reflect changes and prices (volatile at this time). We charge for our additional time on 2nd and 3rd versions.
Instruction sheets and videos give detailed examples for how items are installed, fixed, plastered and wired.
Equipment is built, sourced and delivered according to build schedules
We support, help and advise your construction team, visiting site if required. A fee may be made for visits and will discuss these in advance.
Your lighting is finally commissioned, scenes set and paired with Apps, voice and smart devices.
